Glove puppet

We have all had the unfortunate experience of losing one glove or mitten and being left with its lonely partner. Well now, you can make super friendly puppets out of your lone glove. The best thing is you end up with an entire puppet show on one hand! Grab your craft supplies and get started.
- 1 glove
- Permanent markers
- Hot glue or tacky glue
- Craft supplies (felt, googly eyes, pom poms, yarn, etc.)
- Tongue depressors (5 per glove is ideal, but 1 will do)

Place a tongue depressor in each finger. The tongue depressor allows you to separate the front and back of the glove so markers don't bleed through or glue doesn't stick the glove together. If you only have one tongue depressor it's okay, you'll just need to use the same stick for each finger.

Now decorate! Draw a little face, glue on some eyes. You can even use feathers or yarn for hair! Have as much fun possible and let your creative brain run wild! Remember, if you are using a hot glue gun for this process adult supervision is required.

When you finish with one finger, remove the tongue depressor and place it within the next finger.

You can pick all your favorite characters in a story, all the animals of a farm, or any other characters you choose! Once you're done, make up a skit or play, and perform for your friends and family!
1. If you don't have tongue depressors, cut thin strips of cardboard from either a cereal box or a rigid envelope (like a UPS or FedEx envelope), or roll finger-sized tubes of tin foil. The object is to keep the back and front part of the fingers from touching.
2. Choose a favorite book for inspiration. You can use the pictures to help design the puppets.
Here are a few examples. One has an animal theme, the other has a princess theme!
