Step 1:

Determine how large to make the opening in your tube.  Begin by marking the center of your TP tube.  Center your device on that mark and make additional marks at the edges of your device.

Step 2:

Stand your device up and trace around the bottom of it.

Step 3:

In order to cut safely through your smaller tube we are using a larger tube as a holder.  Use your scissors to cut down the length of your paper towel tube.

Step 4:

Insert the cut paper towel tube inside your marked TP tube.  This gives you something to hold on to while cutting and helps secure the smaller tube.

Step 5:

Carefully cut out the hole for your device.

Step 6:

Cover your tube with duct tape.  For this you will need three six inch pieces of tape.

Step 7:

Wrap the pieces around the tube.

Step 8:

Make small slits in the tape that hangs over the ends of the tube.  This helps them lay smoothly over the edges.

Step 9:

Use your finger to find the hole in the tube which is now covered in duct tape.

Step 10:

Cut out the hole.

Step 11:

I am using four push pins to keep the tube from rolling.  Place two pins in the back.

Step 12:

Place two pins in the front.  Note, the front pins will likely need to be placed slightly further apart. You will need to experiment to find the best placement for these pins.

Step 13:

You will need to place something inside the tube to cover the sharp points of the push pins.  I am using packing peanuts.
