  2. pipe cleaners

  3. X-acto knife

  4. scissors

  5. googly eyes

  6. glue dots

Step 1: 

Cut a one inch circle from your pool noodle.

Step 2: 

You will need a second piece of pool noodle.  If you have one that is a different color and/or shape it would be best to use that.  Cut another one inch circle.  Cut two notches from this piece.

Step 3: 

Take one of the pieces you just cut off and place it in the hole of the other piece of pool noodle.

Step 4: 

Cut two small one inch pieces off of your pipe cleaner.

Step 5: 

Use one small piece of pipe cleaner to attach the remaining small piece of pool noodle to the larger piece.  This is the head of your spider.

Step 6: 

Fold the remaining pieces of pipe cleaner in half and cut them at the fold.

Step 7: 

Fold the pieces in half again and cut them at the fold.  You should now have eight small pieces, exactly the same length.  These are the spider's legs.

Step 8: 

Insert the pipe cleaner legs into the spider's foam body.

Step 9: 

Use glue dots to attach his eyes.

Step 10: 

All done!
