Step 1:
Pick a pretty sheet paper to lay on the top cover, and use a glue stick to seal it on.
Step 2:
Make sure those edges are nice and secure, and add colorful duct tape to the edges of your journal. Lay half of the tape on the front side, leaving just enough tape exposed to fold under the cover.
Step 3:
Wrap the duct tape around on the other side of the cover, and press flat, pushing out any air bubbles. Repeat this for all sides of your cover, to secure your decorative paper and to add some durability!
Step 4:
Now your boring notebook is a blank canvas for even more creativity!
Step 5:
You can add labels and pockets to the front cover. Not only does this make the cover fun and three-dimensional, it is useful as well! All I did was cut up some felt or foam pieces and use hot glue to secure them in place. (Remember, grown-ups should always assist if you're using hot glue!)
Step 6:
You can decorate with different paper, tape, stickers -- anything you can think of!
