How to Make Duct Tape Stickers

Simple stickers make great embellishments
Materials List

Scissors

Markers

Paper on which to draw your original designs, OR something to trace

How to
Step 1

First, gather up any artwork you'd like to trace, or draw your own designs on a piece of paper. Using a marker for big, bold lines works best. Next, take your parchment paper, put it on top of your art, and trace it with your marker.

Step 2

Next, take strips of duct tape and cover your design. Make sure to cover your design completely; you can also use more than one color or pattern of tape if you like.

Step 3

Flipping over the parchment paper, you'll still be able to see your drawn outline.

Step 4

Using your scissors, cut out the sticker along the lines. When you're ready to use it, simply peel the tape from the parchment paper and stick away!

Step 5

Here, we've added a blue heart accent to this duct tape purse.

Step 6

Your duct tape sticker adds a cute, unexpected detail to any of your crafts!

Variations

Wax paper is more difficult to work with than parchment paper. In order to properly peel the tape from the wax paper, it is best to leave a tab of excess wax paper/tape when cutting out the design. Cut off the excess after you've peeled the tape away from the wax paper, before you apply the sticker.
