This is a fantastic way to make a warm and cozy scarf without having to sew a stich! Make a few for yourself, your friends, or give them away as gifts. The colors, styles, and options are endless.
Fleece comes in pieces that are 60" wide. One yard of fleece will be 36" x 60"
Step 2:
By cutting pieces that are 6" wide by 60" log you will be able to make 6 scarves for every yard of fabric.
Step 3:
Fold over the end of the scarf about an inch.
Step 4:
Cut six evenly distributed slits in the folded edge. Each slit should be about 1/2 an inch to an inch long.
Step 5:
Repeat the fold and the six slits on the other end of the scarf. Your completed slits should look like this.
Step 6:
Using a different color or pattern of polar fleece, cut 12 strips each about an inch wide and 6 inches long.
Step 7:
Take one of your 6-inch strips and push it through one of the slits in the scarf.
Step 8:
Pull the strip about half way through the strip. Leave about 3 inches on either side of the slit. Tie the two sides of the slit together and pull tightly.
Step 9:
Repeat the previous step for each slit on either side of the scarf.
Step 10:
Your personalized, warm and cozy polar fleece scarf is complete!
