Step 1:

Fleece comes in pieces that are 60" wide. One yard of fleece will be 36" x 60"

Step 2:

By cutting pieces that are 6" wide by 60" log you will be able to make 6 scarves for every yard of fabric.

Step 3:

Fold over the end of the scarf about an inch.

Step 4:

Cut six evenly distributed slits in the folded edge. Each slit should be about 1/2 an inch to an inch long.

Step 5:

Repeat the fold and the six slits on the other end of the scarf. Your completed slits should look like this.

Step 6:

Using a different color or pattern of polar fleece, cut 12 strips each about an inch wide and 6 inches long.

Step 7:

Take one of your 6-inch strips and push it through one of the slits in the scarf.

Step 8:

Pull the strip about half way through the strip. Leave about 3 inches on either side of the slit. Tie the two sides of the slit together and pull tightly.

Step 9:

Repeat the previous step for each slit on either side of the scarf.

Step 10:

Your personalized, warm and cozy polar fleece scarf is complete!
