How to
Step 1

Download my Pac-Man template from the Stats tab above.  Print it onto the printable shrinky dink paper.  Cut the template into strips.

Step 2

Color the Pac-Man and ghosts using permanent markers.

Step 3

Cut out each of the figures.  You will want to cut as closely to the edge as possible.

Step 4

Punch two holes in each of the figures.  For the ghosts you will want to punch right below their eyes.  For the Pac-Man you will be punching holes behind his mouth.  Be careful not to punch holes that are too close to the edges.

Step 5

Lay the figures on a piece of parchment paper on an oven tray and put in a 350 degree oven.  The shrinky dinks will shrink, curl and then un-curl.  Be sure to allow them to un-curl before removing them from the oven.

Step 6

When they have shrunk and flattened remove them from the oven.  Use your spatula to flatten them completely.

Step 7

Connect the three ghosts with your split rings.  Place them back to back, line up the holes and insert the split ring.  When you are finished you should have split rings connecting each of the three ghosts and one on each side. Place a split ring in each of the holes in the Pac-Man as well.

Step 8

To add the beads, thread a piece of elastic thread through the split ring at the Pac-Man's mouth.  Add one small bead, a larger bead and then another small bead over both ends of the elastic thread.

Step 9

Tie the end of the thread to the split ring on one end of the ghosts.  Run one string through the split ring and then tie it with the other.  Trim any extra

Step 10

Add another piece of elastic to the other end of the ghosts.  Add 6-8 beads onto this thread.

Step 11

Loop the end of the thread around and tie it to the other split ring attached to Pac-Man.  Thread just the single thread through the loop and tie tightly.  Trim any excess.
