Overhead Lava Pass

Cool, refreshing water, which acts as "lava," is passed over the players' heads
Supplies
Buckets of water (1 per team)
Sponge (1 per team)
Setup

1. Set up one bucket with water and a sponge.
2. Divide the group into equal teams (2 or more) and line them up about 3 feet behind the buckets of water.

How to Play

1. On "Go," the first person of each team runs to the bucket of water and grabs the sponge.
2. They then run back to their team and pass the sponge over their head to the person behind them, squeezing the sponge at the same time.
3. The second person takes the sponge above his/her head and also passes overhead, continuing to squeeze the sponge.
4. This overhead pass and squeezing continues until the last person in line gets the sponge.
5. At this point, the last person has to run to the bucket, drop the sponge in the bucket to re-soak it with water, and run to the front of the line to continue the relay.
6. This continues so that each person in line has a chance to run to the bucket and begin passing the fully soaked sponge behind them.
7. When the first person in the line returns to the front, the relay is over. The first team to do this wins!
